Join us for day one of our event that seeks to combine perspectives of speakers from academia, grassroots community organizations, and impressive companies in the industry in order to develop a nuanced understanding of the intersectionality of racial health disparities, climate change, and housing crises. With the current pandemic highlighting many structural inequalities and people everywhere demanding better, there is tremendous opportunity to rebuild our economies to work for all. Center for Research Innovation (CRI) - "Founder’s Roundtable"
Northeastern faculty go beyond research – they launch ventures. During this roundtable, Northeastern founders will share the inspiration and motivation driving their ventures. You will hear how initial opportunities were discovered and how they decided to jump in. You will hear of challenges faced and overcome -- the rewards of success and incentives powering their impact. Health Sciences Entrepreneurs (HSE) - "Entrepreneurs without borders: Tales from India, Korea, and Honduras"
Join our inspiring entrepreneurs who have navigated through cultural landscapes outside the US to launch businesses. Northeastern University's Bouve Health Sciences Entrepreneurs (HSE) is hosting an interactive discussion on the topic of: "Entrepreneurs without borders: Tales from India, Korea, and Honduras" which will feature three different speakers: Nader Yacaman Juha from IC Health, Vidhan Bhaiya from Dr Brinsley, and Danny Kim from WELT, who is also an HSE Board Member. Our moderator, Rebecca Love, a nurse entrepreneur, inventor, author, and HSE Board Member will be guiding the discussion around numerous topics including: government regulation of businesses, cultural differences in employing in startups, differences in the healthcare systems, recent changes in regulations and the drivers of those changes, the differences in marketing, challenges, and cultural differences in the respective countries.
B.L.A.C.K. initiative - Career Conversations: Black Business Owners
Interested in launching your own business? Or stepping into a leadership role as a Black professional? Hear from Black Business Owners about their experiences climbing to the top of their organization, or starting their own. Learn strategies on how you can achieve your professional goals towards becoming a leader in businesses across industries. This program is part of the B.L.A.C.K. initiative (Black Leaders Accessing their Consciousness through Knowledge) a collaboration between the John D. O’Bryant African American Institute, Employer Engagement and Career Design, and the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion.

NU Entrepreneurs Club - Husky Startup Challenge - "Demo Day - Fall 2020"
Demo Day is Northeastern University's largest celebration of student entrepreneurship and innovation. The event features the top 12 student-led startups from the Fall 2020 Cohort of the Husky Startup Challenge. These early stage startups have worked hard all semesters to turn their world-changing ideas into a reality through a series of bootcamps. About Global Entrepreneurship Week
Global Entrepreneurship Week is the largest celebration of innovators and entrepreneurs in the world. Sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, more than 180 countries are participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week this year. Through various programs and events held by businesses, organizations, and academic institutions, GEW week stimulates entrepreneurial spirit – inspiring people to create their own startup companies and giving existing entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their expertise. Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 took place on November 16-22, 2020.
